Calculator
WEBA fast calculator for everyday and scientific math, right in your browser.
What is the Calculator tool?
This free online calculator gives you an answer the moment you tap — add, subtract, multiply and divide on a large, phone-friendly keypad that works just as well on a desktop. The running expression stays visible above the display, so you always see what you typed, and dedicated percent (%) and plus-minus (±) keys handle the two extras people reach for most. There is nothing to download and no sign-up: open the page and start calculating.
Everything runs inside your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server, and once the page has loaded the calculator keeps working with no internet connection at all — useful on a plane, in a basement, or anywhere your signal drops. That also makes it genuinely private: what you calculate stays on your device.
Unlike many calculator sites that bury the keypad under banners and pop-ups, this page stays clean and loads fast, so it is comfortable to use as your everyday math calculator on a phone. For percentage problems with more structure — what percent one number is of another, or a percent change — Carbide's percentage calculator is one tap away, and the unit converter handles measurement conversions. A full scientific calculator with sin, cos, log and more is part of the Carbide mobile app, coming soon to Android and iOS.
How to use the Calculator
- Tap the keypad to enter your first number — the display updates as you type.
- Choose an operation: + to add, − to subtract, × to multiply or ÷ to divide.
- Enter the second number; the small line above the display keeps the running expression.
- Tap = to see the result instantly.
- Use % for quick percentages, ± to flip the sign, ⌫ to fix a typo, and C to start over.
Frequently asked questions
Does the calculator work without an internet connection?
Yes. Once the page has loaded it makes no network calls at all, so it keeps working fully offline — all the math runs inside your browser.
Is there a scientific calculator mode?
The web calculator focuses on fast everyday arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, divide, percent and sign. A full scientific calculator with sin, cos, tan, logarithms and roots is part of the Carbide mobile app, coming soon for Android and iOS.
Is this calculator free, and is there a usage limit?
It is completely free, with no usage caps, no account and no sign-up. Open the page and calculate as much as you like.
Is what I type private?
Yes. Every calculation happens on your device — nothing you enter is sent to a server or stored anywhere.
How do I calculate a percentage with it?
Use the % key: it converts the number on the display into a fraction of 100, so 200 × 10 % gives 20. For structured questions — what percent of X is Y, or a percent increase — Carbide's percentage calculator has dedicated modes.
How is this different from the calculator built into Google search?
The math is the same. The difference is workflow: this page loads fast, keeps working offline after it loads, has a keypad sized for thumbs, and doesn't surround your calculation with search results — handier when you have a run of numbers to work through.
