Currency Converter
WEBConvert between 150+ world currencies with up-to-date exchange rates.
What is the Currency Converter tool?
This currency converter shows you what your money is worth in another currency using up-to-date exchange rates. It covers the major world and regional currencies — US dollar, euro, British pound, Japanese yen, Egyptian pound, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, Canadian and Australian dollars, Indian rupee and Chinese yuan — and the rate applied is shown right under the result, so you always see exactly what one unit converts to. Swapping the pair to check the reverse direction takes one tap.
Rates are fetched from a live exchange-rate feed and cached briefly, so what you see stays close to the market rate. The amounts you type are converted in your browser and never stored — the only thing that goes over the network is the rate request itself, never your figures. Checking USD to EGP before a transfer, or pricing a dirham purchase in euros, is a matter of entering the amount and picking the two currencies.
Unlike the big finance platforms, this exchange rate calculator has one job: convert. There are no remittance upsells, no rate-alert sign-up walls and no account — it is free and fast on a phone. One honest note: the displayed rate is a market reference rate. Banks and exchange offices apply their own margins and fees, so the amount you actually receive in a real transaction will differ somewhat.
How to use the Currency Converter
- Pick the currency you are converting from — for example USD.
- Type the amount you want to convert.
- Pick the target currency — for example EGP — and the converted value appears with the rate used.
- Tap the swap button to flip the pair and check the reverse direction.
- Reload the page any time to pull the freshest rates from the live feed.
Frequently asked questions
How often are the exchange rates updated?
Rates come from a live exchange-rate feed each time the tool loads and are cached briefly on our side, so they track the market closely without a delay you would notice. On fast-moving days, reload the page to pull the freshest rate.
Is this the rate my bank will give me?
Not exactly. The tool shows a market reference rate. Banks, cards and exchange offices add their own margin and fees on top, so the rate in a real transaction is usually a little worse than the reference rate you see here.
How do I check the USD to EGP rate today?
Pick USD as the from-currency and EGP as the target, then enter 1 — the result is today's reference rate for one dollar in Egyptian pounds. Enter any other amount to convert it directly.
Is the currency converter free?
Yes — free with no sign-up, no conversion limits and no upsells. It is a converter, not a storefront.
Is my financial data private?
The amounts you type are converted in your browser and are not stored or sent anywhere. The tool does make one network request — to fetch current exchange rates — but your figures are never part of that request.
How is this different from XE or Wise?
XE and Wise are full financial platforms: money transfers, rate alerts, historical tables, accounts. This tool is deliberately just a fast converter with the live rate and no upsells. If you need to actually send money abroad, you will still need a transfer provider — use this to sanity-check the rate first.
Does it work offline?
An internet connection is needed to load current rates. Once the page has loaded, you can keep converting between currencies using the rates already fetched for as long as the page stays open.
