How to use the Notepad

Will my note survive if I accidentally close the browser tab?

Yes. Notepad saves to your browser's local storage on every keystroke, so your text is still there when you reopen the page.

Is my text synced to a server or visible to Carbide?

No. Everything stays in your browser's local storage on your device. Nothing is transmitted, and Carbide never sees your notes.

Can I use Notepad without an internet connection?

Absolutely. Once the page has loaded, Notepad works entirely offline. It's ideal for writing notes on a flight or in any no-signal area.

Is there a character or word limit?

There is no enforced limit in the tool itself. Your browser's local storage cap (typically 5 MB) is the only practical boundary, which is far more than enough for notes.
