This fake chat generator builds a realistic-looking text conversation you can style as either iMessage (blue bubbles on the right, gray on the left) or WhatsApp (green bubbles on a light chat wallpaper), with a dark mode toggle for either style. It starts you off with a short sample conversation so you can see the layout immediately, then you take it from there — add your own lines, decide who each one is from, and rearrange the story until the screenshot says exactly what you want.
Every bubble in the preview is editable in place: tap the swap icon to flip a message between 'from me' and 'from them', or the delete icon to remove it entirely. Type a new line into the composer, pick a sender with two quick buttons, and add it to the bottom of the thread. The whole conversation renders live, bubble corners and colors matching the chosen app style, so what you see is what gets exported.
Once the conversation looks right, export it as a shareable image with one tap — perfect for memes, mockups, comedy sketches, app design previews, or just messing around with friends. How to use the Fake Chat Generator
- Pick a chat style — iMessage or WhatsApp — and optionally switch on dark mode.
- Tap any bubble's swap icon to flip it between 'from me' and 'from them', or the delete icon to remove it.
- Type your new line in the composer box below the chat.
- Choose whether the new line is 'from me' or 'from them', then tap add.
- Repeat until the conversation reads the way you want, then export it as an image to share.

Can I make it look like WhatsApp instead of iMessage?
Yes. The style switcher toggles the whole preview between iMessage's blue-and-gray bubbles on white and WhatsApp's green-and-white bubbles on a light chat wallpaper, and a separate switch applies dark mode to either style.
Can I change who sent a message after adding it?
Yes. Every bubble has a small swap icon — tap it (or the bubble itself) to flip that message between 'from me' and 'from them' without retyping it.
How do I remove a message?
Tap the small delete (x) icon next to any bubble and it is removed from the conversation immediately — no confirmation dialog to slow you down.
How do I save or share the finished chat?
Tap 'share image' above the disclaimer line. The tool captures the whole conversation card as a PNG and opens your device's native share sheet, or downloads it if sharing files isn't supported.
Is this a real messaging app?
No. It only creates a realistic-looking screenshot for entertainment, mockups, or design previews. No messages are sent anywhere and every export carries a clear 'not a real conversation' disclaimer.
