Frequently asked questions
How much should you tip?
It depends where you are. In US restaurants 15–20% is the norm for table service. In Egypt and much of the Middle East, rounding up or leaving around 10% is common, and some venues already add a service charge — check the receipt before tipping on top.
How much is a 20% tip on 100?
20, making the total 120. Split between four people that is 30 each — enter the numbers and the calculator shows all three figures at once.
Can it split the bill unevenly?
Not yet — the split is equal between everyone. For an uneven split, run the calculator once per group: for example, enter one person's items as a separate bill with the same tip percent.
Does it work offline at the restaurant?
