Frequently asked questions
How old am I in days?
Enter your date of birth and the total-days card shows exactly how many days you have lived, with leap years counted correctly. As a rough check, it is close to your age in years × 365.25.
How is exact age calculated?
The calculator counts fully elapsed calendar years first, then fully elapsed months, then the remaining days — the same way ages are read aloud. That makes month-length differences and leap years come out right.
Does it support the hijri calendar?
Not yet — the calculator currently works with Gregorian dates only. If you know your Gregorian date of birth, you get the exact Gregorian age; hijri input is something we are evaluating.
How does the next-birthday countdown work?
It finds the next occurrence of your birth day and month after today and counts the days until it. On your birthday itself the counter resets to the following year.
Is my date of birth private?
Yes. The date you enter is processed entirely in your browser — it is never uploaded, stored or sent to any server. Close the page and it is gone.
Is the age calculator free?

Why do different age calculators give slightly different months and days?
