Bullion & Coins
WEBPrices of standard gold bars, the gold pound, half and quarter pound, sovereign and ounce coins, by country.
What is the Bullion & Coins tool?
Check gold bullion prices today on one neutral page — standard gold bars from 1 gram up to 100 grams plus the full troy-ounce bar, and the coins people actually ask about: the gold pound (8 grams of 21K, the everyday unit in Egypt), the half and quarter pound, the British sovereign (7.98 grams of 22K) and the one-ounce coin. Pick your country and every item is priced in your local currency from the live world gold rate.
Dealers never sell at raw metal value, so the page includes a premium field: enter the percentage your local dealers add and every bar and coin re-prices to mirror a realistic counter quote. Leave it empty and you get the clean metal value — the honest baseline to negotiate from. Prices are fetched from live market data sources and converted at the current exchange rate; that lookup is the page's only network traffic, and there is no account or sign-up.
Search results for gold bar prices are mostly dealer shops quoting in dollars; this page is a reference, not a store — bars, the gold pound and sovereigns side by side in your own currency, with full Arabic including a clean سعر الجنيه الذهب view. For per-gram rates by karat, the gold prices page has the full table and chart, and the gold calculator values a specific piece by weight, karat and making charge.

Frequently asked questions
How many grams is a gold pound?
The gold pound (الجنيه الذهب) is 8 grams of 21K gold — exactly 7 grams of pure gold. The half pound is 4 grams and the quarter pound is 2 grams, both also 21K; the page prices all three from the live rate.
How much pure gold is in a sovereign?
A full British sovereign weighs 7.98 grams of 22K gold, which works out to about 7.32 grams of fine gold. It is close to the gold pound in content, which is why their prices track each other closely.
Why do gold bars and coins cost more than the metal value?
Dealers add a premium covering fabrication, certification, packaging and their margin — usually a few percent, higher on small bars and popular coins. Enter your local premium in the field at the top and every item re-prices so you can compare quotes realistically.
Which bar sizes does the page cover?
The standard retail ladder: 1 g, 2.5 g, 5 g, 10 g, 20 g, 50 g and 100 g bars, plus the full troy-ounce bar (about 31.1 g). All bars are priced as 24K fine gold.
Are these buy prices or sell prices?
They are metal reference prices computed from the live world rate, plus whatever premium you enter. An actual dealer will quote a higher sell price and a lower buy-back price around this reference — the gap is their spread, so use these numbers as your negotiating baseline.
How is this different from APMEX or other bullion dealers?
Dealer sites are shops: they list their own products at their own premiums, in dollars. This page is a neutral reference — bars, the gold pound and sovereigns priced from the live rate in your local currency, with Arabic parity and no incentive to sell you anything.
Is the page free, and what data does it send?
Completely free — no sign-up, no account, no limits. The only network traffic is fetching live gold prices and the exchange rate; your country choice just picks the display currency, and nothing about you is collected.
