Silver Prices
WEBLive silver prices by country and purity (999, 958, 925, 900, 800) with a real price chart.
What is the Silver Prices tool?
Check the silver price today for your country in one place — live per-gram rates for every purity that actually trades: 999 fine silver, 958, 925 sterling, 900 and 800. Pick a country (or let the page detect it) and the table shows the silver price per gram in your local currency, with sell and buy-back columns so you see both sides of a dealer's counter. The ounce price appears in your currency and in US dollars, tying the local gram rate back to the world market at a glance.
A real silver price chart tracks the rate over a week, a month, three months, a year, five years or the full history, and a previous-days table lists yesterday's rates and the days before, so today's number always has context. Prices are fetched from live market data sources and converted at the current exchange rate — that lookup is the page's only network traffic. There is no account, no sign-up and nothing to install.
Bullion dealers usually quote only the spot ounce; Carbide breaks silver down to the per-gram price of each purity by country — the number a silversmith or scrap buyer actually quotes for a 925 sterling piece. And if you track silver for zakat, the silver nisab (595 grams of pure silver) is the threshold most charities recommend — the zakat calculator continues from here with your gold, silver and cash. Free, phone-first and fully available in Arabic.

- Open the silver prices page and confirm the detected country, or pick another one from the list.

- Check the ounce price in your currency and in US dollars to compare against world quotes.
- Switch the chart range — 1W, 1M, 3M, 1Y, 5Y or Max — to see how the rate has been moving.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between 999 silver and 925 sterling silver?
Silver purity is measured in parts per thousand. 999 is fine silver — effectively pure metal, used for bars and investment coins. 925, called sterling, is 92.5% silver alloyed with copper for hardness, the standard for jewellery and cutlery. The page prices both, plus 958, 900 and 800, each scaled by its actual silver content.
How is the silver price per gram calculated from the ounce?
The world price is quoted in US dollars per troy ounce (31.1035 grams). Divide by 31.1035 to get the fine-silver dollar price per gram, multiply by the exchange rate to get it in your currency, then scale by purity — 925 sterling is worth 92.5% of the fine-silver rate, 800 is worth 80%.
What is the difference between the sell price and the buy price?
The sell price is what you pay a shop per gram; the buy-back price is what a shop pays you for the same gram. The gap is the dealer's spread, and any workmanship you paid on jewellery is not refunded when you sell — buyers pay for metal, not labour.
Where do the prices come from, and how live are they?
Rates are fetched from live market data sources and converted at the current exchange rate each time the page loads. They track the world spot market closely, but a shop counter adds local premiums, so treat these as the metal reference, not a final invoice.
Is the silver price page free — do I need an account?
Yes, completely free. There is no sign-up, no account and no limit on how often you check — open the page and the rates are there, on desktop or on your phone.
How is this different from APMEX or BullionVault?
Those are dealer sites that lead with the spot ounce in US dollars, priced to sell you bullion. Carbide is a neutral reference: the per-gram price of every purity — 999 down to 800 — by country in the local currency, with buy-back prices, a chart, previous-day history and full Arabic.
How much silver do I need to owe zakat?
The silver nisab is 595 grams of pure silver. If the combined value of your zakatable wealth reaches that threshold and you have held it for a lunar year, 2.5% is due — the zakat calculator uses this page's live rates to do the math for you.
